Admission after individual treatment
Admission to Vg1
You will not be admitted on the basis of points but after an individual treatment if you
- are entitled to special education and do not have a grade in more than half of the subjects
- have been entitled to special language education and do not have a grade in more than half of the subjects
- do not have a grade in more than half of the subjects for other reasons
- do not have number grades or a comparable basis for grading
- must be treated individually for other special, weighty reasons
If you are admitted after an individual treatment, you are not entitled to admission to a specific education programme, but you have the right to be accepted to one of three prioritized education programmes.
Admission to Vg2 and Vg3
You shall not be admitted on the basis of points, but on the basis of an individual treatment if you have a decision on special education on the previous level, and for this reason are not assessed with grades in more than one subject.
Admission in such cases is granted on the basis of an overall evaluation that finds it justifiable to admit you to the next level with your academic prerequisites. Both the expert appraisal and your own priorities are to be given due emphasis. You will then be admitted to a programme area at Vg2 or Vg3 that builds on the education programme at Vg1 or programme area at Vg2 that you have already completed.
This also applies to those who are following a planned pathway to documented partial competence.
No number grades or an incomparable basis for grading
You are to be admitted on the basis of an individual treatment and after a statement from the school you have attended earlier if you do not have number grades or a comparable basis for grading from Vg1 or Vg2.
Failed one or more subjects at the lower level
You may be admitted as a full-time pupil at Vg2 or Vg3 even if you have failed one or more subjects at the lower level.
The county authorities must in this case find it justifiable after an overall evaluation. Due consideration must be given as to whether documentation has been provided to show that you have the competence the National Curriculum finds necessary for following the teaching at the next level, and whether you as a whole have the academic prerequisites for following the teaching at this level.
If you do not satisfy the requirements for being admitted as a full-time pupil, you may apply for admission as a part-time pupil. In this case you will be admitted after full-time pupils.
Other special reasons
You may also be admitted individually to Vg2 or Vg3 if there are weighty reasons and you have a special need for it.
