Education and training for the vision impaired
If you are severely vision impaired or blind, you are entitled to requisite instruction in
- braille
- the use of technical any technical aids you may require (including ICT)
- how to get around in school, get to and from school, and move around in your home environment (mobility).
You can receive up to 456 periods in addition to the regular number of periods for the education path you are attending. Before a decision can be made regarding such instruction, there must be an expert appraisal, but the instruction is not defined as special education.
