General university admissions certification and special admissions requirements
General university admissions certification
You achieve general university admissions certification by successfully completing one of the programmes for general studies described above, with a grade of 2 or better in all subjects.
Special admissions requirements
Some study programmes have special admissions requirements, in addition to general university admission certification. Some study programmes may require a higher grade than 2; others may require language skills, documented artistic skills, practical experience, entrance exams or so on. For admission to some courses of study you may be required to have chosen special programme subjects at Vg2 and Vg3, usually mathematics and other sciences. You can find the requirements for special university admissions certification in the Regulations for Admission to Higher Education (forskrift om opptak til høyere utdanning). The Regulations may change, so keep yourself up-dated at www.samordnaopptak.no, the universities and colleges admission service.

- Mathematics R2 will be treated on an equal footing with mathematics 3MX
- Mathematics S1 will be treated on an equal footing with mathematics 2MZ
- Mathematics S2 will be treated on an equal footing with mathematics 3MZ
