University admissions certification
General university admissions certification
If you have general university admissions certification you can apply to most study programmes at colleges and universities. It does not, however, guarantee you entrance. Your grades must also meet the standards set by the university or university college.
How do you achieve general university admissions certification?
You can achieve general university admissions certification by successfully completing Vg1, Vg2 and Vg3 in general studies education programmes:
- Sports and physical education
- Art, design and architecture
- Media and communication
- Music, dance and drama
- Specialization in general studies
or complete and pass Vg1, Vg2 and Vg3 from the following vocational education programme:
- Agriculture, fishing and forestry with general studies Vg3
or
- A vocational education programme (Vg1 and Vg2 or successful completion of vocational competence) + supplementary programme for general university admissions certification
Special admission requirements
In addition to general university admissions certification some study programmes have special admission requirements, in most cases this means that you must have special subjects (usually natural science and mathematics). Some study programmes have an entrance exam.
